Yup- this blog is all about teacher fashion.
In my early twenties, I went through a slight clothing obsession- well okay lets be honest- I took a part time job at Banana Republic just so I could receive the employee discount. At the end of my shift, I would spend my pay check on clothes, slowly building a wardrobe I still adore. At the time I was only teaching part time so, it was a doable venture. A few year later after securing a full time gig as a 4th grade teacher, it took all of my strength and every ounce of rational thought to turn down a job at Anthropologie. The discount! The clothes! The bedspreads! ....But alas- he reality of my first year of teaching was no match. Fast forward 8 years, my early 30s brought maturity and life continues to teach me the benefits of being frugal- so I no longer jump at a chance to buy a cute pencil skirt, or a stunning scarf. I do still love fashion though. I also love being a nerd. Who says my inner nerd has to be oppressed by my outer fashionista? It doesn't. Mashing up nerdy shirts with professional clothes is a daily practice for me. Fun, cute, and 100% nerd.
